Data Processed by the App

QuickTaskImport processes the following types of data to provide its functionality:

1. CSV File Content

  • Task data you upload (titles, descriptions, assignees, etc.)
  • This data is processed temporarily to create Jira issues
  • CSV content is NOT stored permanently on our servers

2. Jira Project Information

  • Project names and keys
  • Issue types available in your projects
  • Custom field configurations
  • Epic names and keys
  • Labels, priorities, and components

3. User Information

  • Your Atlassian account ID
  • Display name
  • Used solely to identify who performed imports

4. Import History

  • Date and time of imports
  • CSV file names
  • Number of tasks created/failed
  • Keys of created issues
  • Stored using Atlassian Forge Storage (encrypted, isolated per installation)

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do NOT collect or store your Atlassian password
  • We do NOT have access to your email address beyond what Jira provides
  • We do NOT collect any payment information
  • We do NOT use cookies or tracking technologies
  • We do NOT share your data with third parties

How We Use Your Information

The information processed by QuickTaskImport is used exclusively to:

1. Provide Core Functionality

  • Parse and validate your CSV files
  • Create issues in your Jira projects
  • Link issues to epics
  • Map custom fields

2. Display Import History

  • Show your past imports within the App
  • Provide links to created issues

3. Improve User Experience

  • Show relevant project options (issue types, assignees, etc.)
  • Pre-populate fields based on your project configuration

Data Storage and Security

Where Data is Stored

QuickTaskImport is built on Atlassian Forge, which means:

  • All data processing occurs within Atlassian's infrastructure
  • Import history is stored using Atlassian Forge Storage
  • Data is encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Each Jira installation has isolated storage

Data Retention

  • CSV Content: Processed in memory only; not persisted
  • Import History: Retained for up to 100 most recent imports
  • Created Issues: Stored in your Jira instance (managed by Atlassian)

Security Measures

  • The App runs entirely within Atlassian's secure infrastructure
  • All API calls use Atlassian's authentication system
  • No data is transmitted to external servers
  • The App only requests necessary permissions

Your Rights

You have the right to:

1. Access Your Data

  • View your import history within the App
  • See which issues were created

2. Delete Your Data

  • Import history can be cleared by uninstalling the App
  • Created Jira issues can be deleted through Jira

3. Data Portability

  • Your Jira issues remain in your Jira instance
  • You can export data through Jira's native export features

Children's Privacy

QuickTaskImport is designed for business use and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

  • Posting a notice in the App (for major changes)
